The class were informed that the date of their final exam would be Tuesday 6th May and that aside from this we would shortly be needing to start preparing for the Prelim, and that they should spend a minimum of 2.5 hours a week on revision. The class were directed to the Higher Maths Objective Questions which can be found on the web as part of the preparation for the Prelim.
We continued Unit 3 – Vectors (this will also be included in the Prelim in February) and completed the notes so that the homework could be tackled earlier. The work can be found on the MyMaths website under Library – Shape – Vectors – Vectors 1 & 2 and then the harder work under Library – A Level – Core 4 – all of these lessons. We covered the work up to Chp 13 – Ex 13S which included the scalar product, calculating angles between vectors and perpendicular vectors.
The class were issued with homework 3-3 on Vectors and this is due in on Tuesday 14th January.
