1W2 – week ending 17th January

We continued work on the Café Project with another period of work on calculating perimeter of a shape and this is on the MyMaths website under Library – Shape – Area and Perimeter – Perimeter. We also did some practical measuring of the dimensions of a variety of different things (door, classroom & corridor) which prompted a discussion on techniques used and accuracy of the measurements. This was followed by work on calculating areas which can be found under Library – Shape – Area & Perimeter – Areas of Rectangles.
