We continued work on the Café Project with more work on calculating areas of rectangles & triangles and this is on the MyMaths website under Library – Shape – Areas of Rectangles and also Areas of Triangles. This was followed by work on calculating volumes of cuboids which can be found under Library – Shape – Volume & Surface Area – Volume of Cuboids. The class was issued a homework on the MyMaths website (Area of a Rectangle) with a deadline of Wednesday 29th January for completion.
Next week we will go over to Rubislaw Terrace Gardens (opposite the school) to do an actual survey of the site, so all pupils will be expected to come to class suitably attired (i.e. jackets with them for going outside unless the weather is truly horrendous).
