2A1 – week ending 16th May

This week the class would be looking at probability and how this relates to Finance in betting and stocks & shares. This will carry on to next week as well. We have already discussed how bookmakers take 90% of the income and that the odds are always stacked against you. Hopefully by carrying out a series of practical experiments the class will develop their appreciation of the futility of this.
