This week we completed the pupil notes on the topic Functions & Graphs. We finished Chapter 4 – Trigonometric Graphs & Equations. This can also be found on the Mymaths website at – A Level – Core 2 – Trigonometry 1 / 2. The class have been advised to learn the exact values table (or the triangles which lead on to this) in their notes. This is important in order to tackle a number of non-calculator questions in the final exam as these regularly crop up. For next week the class needs to have completed all the exercises in Chapter 4 – obviously anyone needing assistance with any aspect can get help from me before school, at lunchtimes and after school. Pupils should get into the habit of regularly looking back over their notes to ensure that they have fully & properly understood how to tackle the work.
The class were issued with a homework covering Chapter 4 with a few questions revising the Straight Line topic as well. The deadline for this is Tuesday 3rd September.
The pupils were informed that the date for the minimum competence NAB would be the week beginning 30th September and that a practice NAB would be issued prior to this and fully gone over.
