The first lesson was spent with the class doing the practice assessment on the SQA website www.sqasolar.org.uk National 4 – Numeracy. We would then spend another lesson doing the actual assessment online. A number of pupils failed to achieve the Numeracy Unit on this occasion. We spent part of another lesson revising as we should be able to do a resit for this towards the end of next week.
We made a start to the National 5 work with the first unit – Applications, with the topic Trigonometry. We began with a recap of the trigonometry skills covered in National 4. This is on the MyMaths website under Library – Shape – Trigonometry – Trig Missing Angles and Trig Missing Sides.
