We continued the National 5 work with the first unit – Applications, with the topic Vectors. We had an introduction to the topic, looking at what a vector is, how to draw one, and then the mathematical processes that can be applied to vectors, i.e. multiplication by a scalar quantity followed by adding & subtracting vectors. This is on the MyMaths website under Library – Shape – Vectors – Vectors 1.
The class were reminded that when they start the National 5 course properly then the pace of the work would pick up significantly and that this was we had started with one of the easiest topics (Trigonometry) as a few people in the class found the concept of Vectors more challenging to get to grips with and that the rest of the course is a lot harder.
