The work covered included <i>double angle formulae, trigonometric equations using the double angle formulae <\/i>as well as the mixed exercise \u2013 this was Ex11G, H, I and J. Again I emphasized the need to have learnt the exact values for <i>sine <\/i>and<i> cosine <\/i>for angles of 30<sup>o<\/sup>, 45<sup>o<\/sup>, 60<sup>o<\/sup>, 90<sup>o<\/sup> and multiples thereof. The work can be found on the MyMaths website under Library \u2013 A Level \u2013 Core 3 \u2013 Trigonometry \u2013 Double Angle Formulae.<\/p>\n<p>The class had been issued with a Practice NAB to have been completed by Friday 6th December, and we then went through this detailing where the marks are awarded and the threshold scores required for each outcome.<\/p>\n<p>The actual NAB will be on Tuesday 10th December. This will be followed with an Extended Unit Test to more accurately see how well each individual is coping with the course thus far as the NAB is just assessing minimum competence.<\/p>\n<p>Next week we will spend two of the lessons spending a bit more time finishing off the chapter with extra practice on the mixed exercise before starting the next unit beginning with <b>Vectors<\/b> (this will also be included in the Prelim in February).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We finished Chapter 11 \u2013 Addition Formulae (with the exception of Ex11E which is not required for the NAB and will be done after the NAB).
