We continued the National 5 work with the first unit – Applications, with the topic Trigonometry. We spent the whole of the week on mixed questions involving Sine Rule, Cosine Rule and Area of a Triangle as they will need to decide which formula to use in order to solve a more typical problem similar to the type that would be in the National 5 exam. The work on these can be found on the MyMaths website under Library – Shape – Trigonometry. The class were informed that when they start the National 5 course properly then the pace of the work would pick up significantly and that this was one of the easiest topics as the rest of the course is a lot harder.
We again had more practice of Non-Calculator work on Percentages.
